John Guldenschuh

John Daggett Guldenschuh was born on January 28, 1878 and died August 29, 1970.

Obituary

John D. Guldenschuh of 1000 Atlantic Avenue. He is survived by his daughter, Mrs. Lucille G. Davis; his son, Carl N. Guldenschuh; his brother, James of Corning, New York; his sister, Mae Barenthaler of Silver Lake, New York; two grandchildren; two great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Friends may attend a service on Wednesday at 11 a.m. (no prior calling) at the Anthony Funeral Chapel, Inc., 2305 Monroe Avenue. Interment at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, friends may direct memorials to the Salvation Army or a charity of their choice.

George Guldenschuh

George Guldenschuh, the son of Arthur, was born on June 22, 1937 and died on May 26, 2021.

Obituary

George Guldenschuh, 83, of Poughkeepsie, died at home on Wednesday, May 26, 2021, in the care and company of his loving wife, Marietta.

Born on June 22, 1937, in Johnson City, NY, he was the son of Arthur Earl and Violet Eva Bryant Guldenschuh. On September 23, 1989, he married Marietta Taylor in North Carolina.

George retired from the Hyatt Hotel in San Francisco, CA, where he was an electrician and director of engineers. He proudly served in the Army from October 1955 to October 1958.

George is a member of the Faith Assembly of God, Poughkeepsie. Previously, George was Assistant Pastor at the Salvation Army Church, Kingston, and the Band Master for the Salvation Army Youth Group.

Surviving are his beloved wife Marietta Guldenschuh, Poughkeepsie, children, Roxanne; Colette; Peggy; Shirley; Donna; Donny; Mark; Robb; and Linda; brother Robert; sister Donna Taylor, many grandchildren, great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers, Arthur; Donald; Edward and Charles.

Relatives and friends may call from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, on Thursday, June 3, 2021, at Sweet's Funeral Home, Rte 9, Hyde Park. Funeral services will begin at 12:00 PM, with Pastor Jeff Behnke, officiating. Burial with military honors will follow at Union Cemetery, Hyde Park.

George's family respectfully requests memorial donations in lieu of flowers be made to the Faith Assembly of God, 25 Golf Club Road, Poughkeepsie, NY 12601 or Salvation Army Church, 35 Cedar Street, Kingston, NY 12401.
