Obituary
Col. Vera E. Guldenschuh, 84, died yesterday at Jersey Shore Medical Center, Neptune.
Mrs. Guldenschuh was commissioned a Salvation Army officer in 1919. She retired in 1965.
She was born in New York and lived in Towanda, Pa., before moving here seven years ago.
She and her husband were stationed in various Salvation Army Centers along the east coast.
She was a member of Asbury Park Corps of the Salvation Army, Salvation Army Senior Citizens Club, Salvation Army Retired Officers League, Towanda Seniors Citizens Club and Shakespeare Club of Towanda.
Surviving are her husband, Col. Frank P.; five daughters, Ruth Smith, Fort Wayne, Ind.; Daisy Hepburn, San Francisco; Emily Klenk, Philadelphia, and Jane Regon and Doris Fikkert, both Cedar Grove, Wis.; a brother, Lt. Comm. Llewellyn Cowan, here; 15 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
