Obituary
Maj. Evelyn Muldoon Moretz, retired Salvation Army officer, died yesterday at Jersey Shore Medical Center, Neptune.
Maj. Moretz, 60, was a resident of Phillips Seaview Apartments.
She was born in Mifflin County, Pa., and was commissioned an officer in 1952 after graduating from the Salvation Army College, New York.
She and her husband, Lawrence R. Sr., did most of their work for the Salvation Army in Pennsylvania.
Maj. Moretz was a member of the Asbury Park Corps of the Salvation Army, the Ladies Home League of that corps, the Salvation Army Retired Officers League and the American Association of Retired Persons.
Also surviving are a son, Capt. Lawrence R. Jr., Bloomfield; a daughter, Mrs. Brenda K. Kissinger, Walden, N.Y.; an adopted daughter, Mrs. Louise Montigney, of Dallas, Pa.; two brothers, Charles W. Muldoon and Foster M. Muldoon, both Lewistown, Pa., and five grandchildren.
