Mark Mackneer

Major Mark Mackneer was commissioned as a Salvation Army officer in 1981 at the College of Officer Training in Sufferin, New York. He entered the training college from the corps in Lewistown, PA. In 1993, he served as the Divisional Youth Secretary for the Northern New England division. He was one of the first Salvation Army personnel on site at Ground Zero on September 11, 2001, while he was serving as the corps officer in East Stroudsburg, PA. In 2014, he attended the International College of Officers. In 2016, he and his wife were awarded The Salvation Army Long Service Order for 35 years of service. In 2018, he was appointed as the divisional commander for the Northern New England division, succeeding Majors Raphael and Sandra Jackson.

Major Mackneer met his wife at the Salvation Army's summer camp Lador in Waymart, Pa. They were married in 19771) and have 3 sons and 8 grandchildren.
