Elizabeth Campbell Bivans
Elizabeth Campbell Bivans Snell was born on May 19, 1861, and died February 26, 1930. She married Leonidas Snell after George Bivans died.
Obituary
Mrs. Elizabeth Bivans-Snell, 68, for many years an active member of the Salvation Army in Miami, died yesterday in her home, 2519 N. W. Ninth street, following a long illness.
Mrs. Bivans-Snell was a native of Gallipolis, Ohio, and married G. G. Bivans in that city in 1885. Mr. Bivans died in 1905 and in 1923 Mrs. Bivans married L. N. Snell in Miami.
She came here 17 years ago and during her residence had given much of her time to the Salvation Army. Five of her children now are officers in the organization.
She leaves five sons, Charles E. Bivans, Miami; Arthur Bivans, North Platte, Neb.; Walter J. Bivans, Chicago, Ill.; S. John Bivans, Greensboro, N. C., and George E. Bivans, Valdosta, Ga.; three daughters, Mrs. Florence Mockabee, Miami; Miss Clara M. Bivans, Sanford, Fla., and Mrs. E. Mikles, High Point, N. C.
She also leaves her husband, L. N. Snell; two brothers, William Campbell and Samuel Campbell, Belle Giade, Fla., and one sister, Mrs. Cora Bivans, Fort Lauderdale.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a. m. tomorrow in the Salvation Army Citadel, 49 N. W. Fifth street, by Adjt. F. F. Fox.
