Joshua Simpson
Major Joshua Simpson was commissioned into the Salvation Army in 2005. He entered training from the Lewistown Corps. He received a B.S. in Behavioral Science from Penn State University and a M.A. in Church History from Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary. After graduating from the College for Officer Training (CFOT), his first appointment was in Plymouth, Massachusetts, as a single officer. After marrying his wife, Captain Sun-Kyung Lim Simpson, he was sent to Greenfield, Massachusetts. His third appointment was Rochester, New York, and most recently he serves as a Curriculum Officer at the CFOT teaching Church History.
He graduated from the CFOT and was commissioned as a Captain, as the rank of lieutenant was temporarily suspended at the time. On June 12, 2020, he was promoted to Major while on appointment as a Curriculum Officer at the CFOT.
