Obituary
Jean Marie (Marshall) Waters of Woodbury, NJ, passed away peacefully on July 24, 2012 at age 83, while visiting her daughter, Laurie White in West Palm Beach, FL.
She was born in Chicago, IL. on September 26, 1928. She graduated from North Central College and later the Salvation Army's School for Officers' Training in Chicago, IL. Along with her husband, Clinton D. Waters(deceased) and three children, Jean had a long career as an officer(achieving the rank of Captain in the Salvation Army serving God as a minister throughout the Central Territory in the Mid-West. Later the family moved to the East Coast and she worked for the Vocational Rehabilitation Commission for the State of New Jersey as a Manager in Woodbury and Camden, NJ as well as a PDS in Trenton, NJ. Along with having a lifelong career of serving others, Jean found great joy in enriching the lives of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren by reading to them, taking long walks, and mastering puzzles and word games. She delighted in sharing her awe of God's wondrous works with all.
Jean is survived by her 3 children, Valerie B.(Waters) Grasso, Laurie J. (Waters) White, John Marshall Walters, Sr. (Joanne); seven grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Also survived by two siblings, Paul Arthur Marshall (Bonnie), Margaret L. (Marshall) Plummer (Daniel).
A memorial service will be held, Thursday, August 2, 2012, 7:30 p. m. at her home church, Gloucester County Community Church, 359 Chapel Heights Rd., Sewell(Washington Twp.), NJ under the direction of the DAVIS & WAGNER FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICE, Woodbury, NJ
