Obituary

Following a short illness, Charles E. Atwell, aged 54, a well known resident of the community, died Sunday morning at 3:10 at his home, 299 Beade street. He was a life long resident of Plymouth, and had been employed for many years at the Lance No. 11 Colliery where he worked last Friday.

Mr. Atwell had been active in Salvation Army work and had served for many years as a Bible teacher for the Salvation Army.

The remains have been removed to Kenneth R. Williams' Funeral Home, 112-114 West Main street from where the funeral will probably be held on Wednesday afternoon at 2. Burial will be in Shawnee cemetery.

Surviving are his widow, Gertrude and these children: Captain Richard Atwell, stationed with the Salvation Army at Lewistown; Edward, Hannah, Gertrude, and Flossie, all at home. Two sisters: Mrs. John Guise and Mrs. William Jenkins, both of town, also survive.
