====Lightning Kills Young S.A. Captain====
Sharon, Mass., Aug. 5. - Paul Rader, 23, a Salvation Army Captain, was killed by a stroke of lightning today while helping to bring several hundred child bathers to safety when a storm came up over Lake Massapoag.

Captain Rader, who was attached to the Salvation Army's fresh air camp here, was on a raft when the bolt struck him. He had been placing the children in boats and was about to get into a boat himself. None of the children was hurt, but Fred Gemash, a camp helper, was struck. He is expected to recover.

Rader was the son of [[Lyell Rader|Dr. Lyell Rader]] of Maywood, N.J., and had formerly lived in Chicago. An uncle, [[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paul_Rader_(evangelist)|Paul Rader]] of Chicago, is an evangelist. The young Salvation Army worker is survived by a wife and one child.
