 +Major Herbert B. Hamilton Jr, 89, of Lewistown, passed away on January 20, 2025, at Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital.

 +Born on August 9, 1935, in Lewistown, he was the son of the late Herbert B. Hamilton Sr. and Sara (Siebert) Hamilton.

 +In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Clarence W. Hamilton, Helen J. ‘Honey’ Hamilton, and Elsie Mae Ramsey.

 +He is survived by his wife, Caroline ‘Rea’ (Faulds) Hamilton, whom he married July 18, 1959; son, Herbert B. Hamilton III, of Cleveland, Ohio; and a sister, Ruth Broome and husband, Robert, of Lewistown.

 +Herb attended Lewistown High School.

 +In his earlier years, he worked at Dank’s Department Store and served as a cook in the Army National Guard.
