+====Mrs. Kaiser Passes Away====
+Mrs. Brigadier Paul W. Kaiser, formerly of E. Front St., passed away at Shavertown, Pa., yesterday (Aug. 8, 1944) after a lingering illness. Mrs. Kaiser is the mother of Adj. Paul Kaiser who was in charge of the Salvation Army Plainfield area from 1938 to 1941. The adjutant's parents, Brigadier and Mrs. Kaiser, made their home in Plainfield following their retirement from official duty in 1939.

+Mrs. Kaiser was one of the veteran officers of the Salvation Army, having served for a period of 44 years. She first became a Salvationist in London, England, where she was a Women's Social Officer doing duty on the "midnight post". On this assignment she patrolled the London City streets seeking to help girls lured to the great city by the promise of fame or easy fortune.

+In 1910 the then Elizabeth Barnett was married to Capt. Paul Kaiser who was also at the time stationed in London. The Kaisers were appointed to service in the United States in 1914 and from that time on were in charge of many Salvation Army's corps along the eastern seaboard, including two years of service in Newark.

+The funeral service will be conducted at the Wilkes-Barre, Pa., Salvation Army Citadel Thursday at 2 p.m. Interment will take place in the Salvation Army plot in Kensico Cemetery, near Valhalla, N.Y., Friday.

+Mrs. Brigadier Kaiser is survived by her husband, Brig. Paul Kaiser, of Shavertown; a son, Adj. Paul Kaiser, divisional youth secretary for the New York City area; two daughters, Capt. Elizabeth Kaiser, of Philadelphia, and Capt. Myra Kaiser of Pittsburgh; and one granddaughter, Edna Lou Kaiser.
