Theodore Osborne, Salvation Army Chief
Services for Theodore J. Osborne, 57, of 539 Belgrove Dr., Kearny, a brigadier in the Central Corps of the Salvation Army, will be at 10:30 a.m. tomorrow at the Salvation Army Chapel, 80 Washington St., Newark. Col. George Russell will officiate.
Mr. Osborne, a native of Brooklyn, died Wednesday. He attended Susquehanna University and entered the Salvation Army Training College after graduation. After his training, he worked in Pittsburgh and Albany. He was financial secretary in Newark for 10 years and spent the last 10 years as property secretary at territorial headquarters in New York City.
He lived 10 years in Bloomfield before moving to Kearny in 1958.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Linnea Heyl Osborne; a son, John of Kearny; two daughters, Mrs. Linnea Cairney of Ithaca, N.Y., and Mrs. Christine Ippolito of Kearny; his father, John Osborne of Kearny, a retired Salvation Army officer; a sister, Mrs. Ethel Osborne of Kearny, with the Salvation Army in New York, and two grandchildren.
