Lt. Walter F. Guldenschuh, commanding officer of the Salvation Army in Sayre has received a promotion and his assistant, Lt. William Garrett has received re-appointment.
Lt. Guldenschuh, son of Major and Mrs. Walter V. Guldenschuh, also Salvation Army officers stationed in Rochester, has been promoted to the rank of captain.
He was commissioned from the Salvation Army's School for Officer's Training in June of 1959 and was appointed to the Sayre Corps in June of 1961 following Capt. and Mrs. Robert Dries.
Lt. Garrett, who has been at Sayre for one year, has been reappointed to the Salvation Army Corps at Lock Haven.
He came to Sayre following his commissioning as an officer.
A farewell fellowship is being planned for next Tuesday eve[n]ing at 7 o'clock at the Salvation Army hall, Desmond St., Sayre.
Lt. Garrett will report to Lock Haven next Wednesday.
