Colonel Bramwell Tripp entered training from Bangor, Maine and was commissioned in 1929.

From 1930 he served in several corps appointments in the U.S.A. Eastern Territory eventually taking command of the New York Temple Corps. Appointed a Divisional Youth Secretary, he undertook these, duties in three divisions. In 1948 he began a lengthy term of service in the training of officers, first in New York and then, from 1954, as Principal of the Chicago School for Officers' Training.
