Olwyn J. Abery of the Salvation Army School for Officers Training in Suffern died Tuesday at her Woodland Drive home in Suffern. She was 48. \\ \\ She was born Nov. 12, 1938, in Melborune, Australia, to Frank F. and Thelma G. (Scotney) Saunders. \\ \\ Mrs. Abery served at the training school from 1980-82 and returned in September 1986. \\ \\ She is survived by her mother, a lieutenant commissioner with the Salvaiton Army in San Francisco; her husband, Salvation Army Maj. Kenneth C. Abery of Suffern; three daughters, Karen S. of Atlanta, Kenwyn J. Trotter of Louisville, and Jennifer J. Abrey of Suffern; and two brothers, Salvation Army Maj. Neil Saunders of El Paso, Texas, and Salvaiton Army Maj. Robert F. Saunders of San Francisco. \\ \\ Services are 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Salvation Army School for Officers Training, 201 Lafayette Ave., Suffern.
