Minnie French, daughter of [[George French|Commissioner]] and [[Elizabeth Moore French|Mrs. George French]] and sister of [[Holland French|Commissioner Holland French]], was born in San Francisco, Calif., in 1901. With her family, she moved to Chicago and then to Seoul, Korea, where her parents were missionaries. She was the first graduate of the Seoul Foreign School. The family was then transferred to Bombay, India for five years. Returning to Chicago after the death of her father, Minnie entered the [[..:College for Officers Training - Central Territory|Central Training College]] in September 1921. She was commissioned to the Field Department at territorial headquarters and remained there until her marriage in 1923 to [[William Wiseman|Captain William Wiseman]]. They served together in corps and the Men's Social Service Department until 1961, when they retired in Pacific Palisades, Calif., attending the Santa Monica Corps. Brigadier Wieseman was promoted to Glory in 1972. Minnie served faithfully as a retired officer in the community of Santa Monica, being active as a Songster and in Home League and League of Mercy. Surviving are her son Richard and daughter Millie Corliss in the Los Angeles area, and her son Wilfred of Aurora, Ill. There are six grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. [[Herbert Wiseman|Lt.
