She was born on November 17, 1935 to her late parents, King David and Helen Williams. Frances grew up with her four siblings in Charlotte, North Carolinaand attended the Salvation Army Corp growing up; leading to lifelong friendships and meeting the love of her life, Walter Dunmore Needham, whom she was married to for 59 years. She worked as a Nurse in various capacities from 1958 retiring in 1996. She received a Bachelor's Degree in Science and Nursing from the Charlotte School of Nursing (now known as Carolina College of Health Sciences.) \\ \\ After marrying, Frances supported Walter through his senior year at the Georgia Institute of Technology working at Emory Hospital. After Walter's graduation, Frances continued serving as a Nurse in various capacities as they both embarked on the adventure of a lifetime as Walter pursued a career in Engineering in the U.S. Army. For 22 years in Virginia, Florida, North Carolina, Germany,New Mexico, Japan, and Georgia, Frances Needham served as the family's heart and home for Walter and their two boys, Eddie and David. Throughout the many moves Frances served as a women's leader in International Christian conferences, women's auxiliary boards, and leading officer spouse groups while raising their two sons. After Frances retired, she and Walter were dedicated members of Victory World Church, supporting many of the church's ministries.
