The Salvation Army has announced that Sergeant Daniel Noland will serve as the new Corps Officer for its Meridian, Mississippi, location, beginning June 23, 2025.

Originally from San Diego, California, Noland brings a strong background in ministry and community service to his new role. He has served in various capacities within The Salvation Army, focusing on evangelism, outreach, and leadership of local programs. Prior to becoming an officer, he led a home church of approximately 20 members and has been a dedicated Bible teacher for over a decade. He is also a published spoken word artist, using creative expression as a form of ministry and outreach.

Noland is recognized for his energy, creativity, and deep commitment to both spiritual leadership and practical service. His approach aligns with The Salvation Army’s mission to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and meet human needs in His name without discrimination.

He will be joined in ministry by his wife, Melanie, and their three children. The family plans to be actively involved in both the life of the corps and the wider Meridian community. They have expressed a strong desire to build relationships with local leaders, advisory board members, and residents as they help lead the corps into a new chapter of growth and engagement.
