Commissioner **Barry C. Swanson** was commissioned on June 11, 1978. He attended Northern Illinois University where he earned a bachelor's degree in marketing. He married his wife in 1975. He entered training from Mt. Greenwood Chicago Corps in 1976. He attended the International College for Officers in 1990.
