+====Salvation Army Officers Promoted to Captain Rank====
+Envoys James and Tricia Brennan, commanding officers of the Canandaigua Salvation Army, have been promoted to the rank of Captain.
+“This new title recognizes their dedication to God and the service Captains Jim and Tricia have made to The Salvation Army and the communities where they have served. They are making a difference in the city of Canandaigua,” said Major Ronald Foreman, divisional commander of the Empire State Division of The Salvation Army, which covers all of upstate New York.
+The Brennan’s were assigned to Canandaigua Salvation Army Worship and Community Center in 2013 after having served in Rochester at Liberty Pole Way since 2010.
+The Canandaigua Salvation Army, located on Saltonstall Street offers programs and services that address the spiritual and physical needs of the community. As a religious denomination, The Salvation Army nourishes the soul with a Holiness Service on Sunday. The Army also provide the Phoenix program, a certified after school program and summer day camp. They also host a weekly teen youth program (in conjunction with other area churches), a food pantry, the Golden Spot Senior Center, and a Back to School bash in August. They also send 21 children yearly to the Army’s residential camp, Long Point Camp on Seneca Lake.
