+Mabel M. Muldoon, 65, of rear 34 Chestnut St., died Wednesday, Aug. 9, at 11:50 a.m. in the Lewistown Hospital, following a two week illness.

+She was born Oct. 31, 1906, in Huntingdon County, a daughter of the late Samuel and Sarah Miller Buchanan. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward D. Muldoon.

+Survivors include two step-sons, Charles E. Muldoon of 140 Klondyke Drive, and Foster D. Muldoon of Lewistown R.D. 2; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Stanley (Thelma) Rhoades of Lewistown R.D. 2, and Mrs. Roy (Evelyn) Moretz of Chambersburg; two brothers, George Buchanan of Beech Street, Burnham, and Charles Buchanan of Altoona; one sister, Mrs. John (Blanche) Britcher of Lewistown R.D. 2; seven grand children; and ten great-grandchildren.

+Mrs. Muldoon attended the Full Gospel Tabernacle, was secretary of the Home League of the Salvation Army for over 30 years, and a member of the United Church Women.

+Services will be held Saturday at 10:30 a.m. in Heller's Woodlawn Funeral Home with Rev. Harry M. Donley officiating. Interment will be made in the Lost Creek Cemetery at Oakland Mills. Friends will be received at the funeral home Friday from 7 to 9 p.m.

+Charles E. "Bill" Muldoon, 93, of 13 Runway Lane, Lewistown, died at 3 a.m., Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2012, at his home.

+Born June 29, 1918, in McAlisterville, he was the son of the late John E. and Emma (Smith) Muldoon and his stepmother, Mabel (Britcher) Muldoon.
+\\ \\
+He was preceded in death by: his wife, Lois Jane (Dobbs) Muldoon, on Oct. 5, 1975; an infant son, Charles E. Muldoon Jr., in 1944; his brother, Foster D. Muldoon; and his sisters, Thelma Rhodes and Evelyn Moretz. Bill is survived by: his children, Ronald L. Muldoon, of St. Michaels, Mary L. Jones and husband, Donald, of Wilmington, Del., and Lois A. Eversole, of Lewistown; grandchildren, Don Jones Jr., Joyce Jones, Heidi Brown and Buffy Jo Shaye; seven great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

+Early in life, Bill was employed at City Taxi and was then employed for 29 years in Machine Shop 1 at Standard Steel in Burnham.

+He was a member of the Salvation Army and a member of the Civilian Conservation Corps at Whipple Dam from 1951 to 1952.

+His funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, Jan. 13, 2012, at the Heller-Hoenstine Woodlawn Funeral Home, 200 N. Main St., with [[James Eager|Captain James H. Eager]] officiating. Interment will be in Lind Memorial Cemetery.

+His family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, at the funeral home.

+Irene G. Britcher Muldoon was married to Foster Muldoon.

+Irene G. Muldoon, 94, formerly of Lewistown, passed away Saturday, March 30, 2019, in Mount Dora, Florida.

+Born Sept. 21, 1924, in Perry County, she was a daughter of the late Clark E. and Lottie M. (Sheaffer) Britcher.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: her husband, Foster D. Muldoon, Nov. 22, 2006; sons, Terry L. and Robert F. Muldoon; a granddaughter, Amy Hinton; and sisters, Helen Clark and Mary Springsteen.

+Irene is survived by: her grandchildren, Shelly Ford, of Umatilla, Fla., Christopher Hasko, of Paulsboro, N.J., and Eric Hasko, of Pitman, N.J.; eleven great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

+While residing in Lewistown, she was a member of the Salvation Army Church and was active in the ladies Bible class.

+Irene was employed as a cafeteria cook for the Mifflin County School District.  She retired in 1986 with 20 years of service.

+A viewing will be held from 1 to 2 p.m., Friday, April 5, 2019, at Hoenstine Funeral Home, 75 Logan St., Lewistown, followed by the funeral service at 2 p.m., with Salvation Army Captains Charity and Philip Bender officiating.

+Interment will take place at Lind Memorial Cemetery, Lewistown.

+Lawrence Roy Moretz III, 48, of Milford, PA passed away on September 9, 2015 at home. He was a Financial Director for Dun & Bradstreet, Short Hills, NJ, a Senior Soldier of the Salvation Army, Port Jervis NY and a Boy Scout Leader for Troop 3.

+Larry was the son of Lawrence Jr. and Nancy (Burke) Moretz. He was born April 24, 1967 in New York, NY. He was married to Joanne (Jessup) Moretz.

+Survivors include his wife Joanne; his mother Commissioner Nancy A. Moretz, of Lancaster, PA; son Cadet Elisha Moretz of Suffern, NY; daughter Jennifer Lynn Moretz of Buenos Aires, Argentina; brother Thomas Moretz of Bloomingdale, NJ and sister Lieutenant Christine Moretz Baker, Youngstown, OH.

+Friends may call at Stroyan Funeral Home, 405 West Harford St., Milford, PA on Monday, September 14, 2015 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. A funeral service will be held at Salvation Army, 99 Ball St., Port Jervis, NY on September 15, 2015 at 4:00 PM.
